Voting Terms

  1. Voting in the Big Green Vote is open to all UK residents aged 13 years or over.
  2. There is no entry fee or purchase necessary to vote. The opening date for all registrations and voting is 1st March 2018. The closing date of the vote is 15th April 2018. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
  3. In order to vote you must register an email address to vote and become a registered Voter by following the instructions at or as follows;
  • Search and find the Site you wish to vote for
  • Click the Vote for this site button
  • You will then be prompted to login or register.
  • If you don’t already have an account you must register for an account using the ‘Create Account’ button
  • Enter your details into the registration foe and agree to the terms and conditions
  • Once you have registered an email will be sent to the email address you registered with allowing you to activate your account
  • Now when you visit a site page you will be able to click the ‘Vote for this site’ button and your vote will be recorded.
  • Once registered, votes for a site can be cast by selecting the ‘vote now’ icon one each individual site page. By registering and or voting the Voter is deemed to have accepted to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Big Green Vote.  
  1. All votes must be submitted via or and 5 initial votes will be allocated to every email address registered.   Additional votes may be allocated to registered accounts at the discretion of the Council if it deems it necessary. Registered Voters will be able to cast one vote per site by selecting the ‘VOTE FOR THIS SITE’ icon on each individual site page. Voters may only cast one vote per site. Multiple votes by any registered Voter for one site will be disqualified. If the Council has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred it reserves the right to disqualify registered accounts and any votes for that particular site.
  2. The Council accepts no responsibility for registrations or voting not successfully completed or lost due to a technical fault technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
  3. Registered Voters may opt-in or opt-out of the Big Green Vote prize draw. All registered Voters opting- in at registration will be entered into the prize draw a winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process any time after the 15th April 2018 ("Draw Date").
  4. The winner will receive a Garden Wild Life Hamper.
  5. The winner will be notified by the email address provided at registration.
  6. The prize winner will be cordially invited to attend personally at the Council offices at a time and date mutually convenient to the winner and the Council.
  7. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  8. The decision of the Council regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  9. Voters are deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions by opting-in to the prize draw when registering for the Big Green Vote. The Council reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  10. The Council reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so for whatever reason.
  11. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Council, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Council, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  12. Winners may be required to participate in publicity related to the prize draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.
  13. Personal data supplied during the course of the Big Green Vote and prize draw will not be passed on to any third party only insofar as required by law or for the delivery of the prize.
  14. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
  15. The Council organising and promoting the Big Green Vote is the Borough of Telford and Wrekin principal office Darby House, Lawn Central, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4JA.
